BACKGROUND: Treatment of choledocholithiasis with laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and intraoperative cholangiogram (IOC) ± transcystic laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) is associated with fewer procedures and shorter length of stay (LOS) compared to preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) followed by LC.
