Fault information management and analysis system based on data mining technology for relay protection devices

Abstract

The basic concept of data mining is introduced. Seven design principles are adopted in the development of fault information management and analysis system based on data mining technology for relay protection devices: prospective design, staged implementation, intelligent information processing, etc. The multi-level module design divides the system structure into three layers: application performance, business processing and data. The functional modules of system are analyzed, and the basic and advanced functions meeting the requirements of grid for safe operation are described. Its applications in actual power grids are briefly introduced.
