Abstract

This chapter will assist you in being able to: Select the types of research evidence needed to address different types of clinical questions. Define principles of quality in quantitative and qualitative evidence. Identify levels of evidence and variations in evidence-ranking systems. Find and select appropriate tools to critically appraise clinical evidence. Use critical appraisal tools and concepts to evaluate qualitative or quantitative evidence.
