ChemInform Abstract: He I Photoelectron Spectra of the Unstable Substituted Aminoboranes, Aminodifluoro‐, Aminodichloro‐, and Aminodibromoborane. An Experimental and Theoretical Study.

Abstract High yield routes to H 2 NBF 2 , H 2 NBCl 2 , and H 2 NBBr 2 (via dehydrohalogenation of H 3 N·BF 3 and H 3 N·BCl 3 and a NH3/BBr3 gas‐phase mixture by use of on‐line He(I) photoelectron spectroscopy) have been demonstrated, and the identities and orbital assignments have been established by a comparison with methyl‐substituted analogues and the isoelectronic ethylenes.
