Abstract The new series of dilead(II) chalcogenide anions has been obtained by extraction of the appropriate ternary or quaternary Zintl phases of the type KPbxSe(3‐n/3)Ten/3 (x ∼ 0.5, n = 0‐3) with ethylenediamine in the presence of 2,2,2‐crypt (4,7,13,16,21,24‐hexaoxa‐1,10‐diazabicyclo(8.8.8)hexacosane).
