Abstract
Mutations in the β myosin heavy chain (βMHC) gene cause hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a disease characterized by sudden death, cardiac hypertrophy and sarcomere disarray. To determine the primary defect, we sought to express a mutant βMHC gene in adult feline cardiac myocytes.
