If response of the hemodynamic system is not quick, the person would faint almost immediately. The body must also adapt to a wide range of physical workloads in which muscles must receive a suf­cient supply of oxygen-rich blood. Thus, a blood pressure control system that can maintain stable blood pressure in the face of rapidly changing demands is a fundamental requirement for our health.
