Thermoforming of Thermoplastics

A finite element analysis of inflation of axisymmetric sheet of finite thickness is presented. Total Lagrangian description and isothermally hyperelastic behavior with incompressibility are used. Both single and multi layer sheets are examined. Comparisons with experimental data for a rubber and PMMA sheet indicated very good agreement.
