Administering the Dragons: Challenges and Issues

Abstract

Public administration is conducted in a variety of settings, each presenting unique challenges and demanding varied responses. Based on the needs of the circumstances and setting, activities are organized, institutions are designed and policies are implemented to effectively administer societies. Although not always apparent, public administration plays a major role in determining the policies as well as suggesting strategies for implementing them. Consequently, when a country makes significant progress or shows signs of serious disorder, the state of public administration deserves a thorough examination.
