Chapter 12 Prediction methods

In this chapter, prediction problems are discussed based on hybrid censored samples. Both point and interval prediction are considered and best linear prediction, likelihood-based prediction and Bayesian prediction are all developed. First, the results are presented for point prediction based Type-I hybrid censored samples and then they are extended for other forms of hybrid censoring. Then, interval prediction results are presented using both likelihood and Bayesian methods. Some numerical examples are also presented for illustrating the theoretical results presented here.
