Atypical cerebral dominance in Down’s syndrome
Abstract
Recent research in which a number of procedures have been used to assess cerebral specialization in individuals with Down’s syndrome (DS) is summarized. We propose a model of cerebral specialization that has as its core feature the biological dissociation between speech perception and the production of speech and other complex movements.
