Hypothalamic stimulation: A biphasic influence on copulation of the male rat

Abstract

Electrical stimulation of hypothalamic sites in male rats accelerated copulatory behavior leading to an ejaculation. Resumption of copulation after ejaculation was also facilitated. Terminating the stimulation temporarily depressed the behavior.
