PhotoneutronQ- value determinations using monochromatic photons
Abstract
Neutron separation energies for the (γ, n) reaction have been determined for isotopes of niobium, cadmium, indium, antimony, tantalum, gold, thallium, lead and bismuth. A source of discrete energy photons which exceed the reactionQ-values was obtained from neutron capture on nickel and chromium placed in the core of the McMaster Nuclear Reactor.
