Beta dose scaling and the one group theory
Abstract
Scaling factors relating dose distributions produced by plane sources of beta particles calculated by Monte Carlo simulation are compared with values predicted by the one-group theory. The variation with atomic number predicted by the theory was found to be stronger than that indicated by the Monte Carlo simulations.
