Branton, Nature (London) 277:241-243, 1979) detecting protein kinase activity when cytoplasmic extracts of human adenovirus type 5 (Ad5)-infected KB cells immunoprecipitated with 14b antitumor serum directed against the transforming proteins of Ad5, were incubated with [gamma-32P]ATP.
