Enumeration of restricted three-dimensional lattice paths with fixed numbers of turns and an application

Abstract

Consider three-dimensional lattice paths from the origin to (rn + a, n, m), not touching the plane x = ry + a and having fixed numbers of turns. In this note, such paths are enumerated and an application is given.
