High-spin states in V48, Cr51, and Mn51

Abstract

The reactions Ca40+14N at EN=40 MeV and Al27+27Al at EAl=90 MeV are used to populate high-spin levels in a number of f7/2 nuclei, from Sc45 to Fe52. In Cr51, the f7/2 band-terminating state at J π=23/2- is identified at 5.711 MeV, and further transitions, from the pf band, are found.
