Aggressive Incidents Scale (AIS) – a measure of aggression that manages violence risk

In this original empirical study the Aggressive Incidents Scale (AIS) is described in order to improve the objectivity of evaluating aggressive episodes of various intensity and forms, which makes it easier to document all levels of aggressive behavior, discuss risks, and make evidence-based clinical decisions to prevent aggression and violence in multiple clinical and community settings. This valid tool was designed not only to improve the documentation of all levels of aggressive behaviour, including the physical consequences of hidden or minor aggression, but also to provide a mechanism for monitoring changes in aggressive behavior. Currently, AIS is available in multiple languages (including Russian, English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, German, Italian, and Arabic) and used in several international settings.
