The noble gas nuclides amenable to NMR studies, 3He, 21Ne, 83Kr, 129Xe, and 131Xe, are discussed in this article. Xenon‐129 chemical shifts and J‐couplings to 129Xe in xenon compounds are correlated with their structures. Solvation and temperature effects on these parameters as well as isotopic effects observed for krypton and xenon compounds are also discussed. A comprehensive table of 129Xe chemical shifts and J‐coupling constants is provided. Xenon‐129 NMR parameters of xenon compounds obtained from solid samples and the effects of intermolecular interactions on the chemical shifts and relaxation times of atomic noble gases are also briefly reviewed.
