The social implications of rural housing policy: a review of developments in the past decade ( UK).

Abstract

Examines the changes in rural housing tenure and conditions in the UK, with sections on privately-rented, owner-occupied, tied cottage, second home, and local authority housing. The implications of the sale of council houses are discussed and concludes that the sales will hinder local authority social and planning objectives. Sections also cover legal protection of tenants in tied accommodation, the role of housing associations, and the part that housing plays in rural social planning. -R.Land
