New towns bring new hope for expanding Hong Kong.
Abstract
Population pressure in Hong Kong has led to the building of new towns - Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan, Tsang Tai Uk and Sha Tin - in the New Territories. Public housing predominates, including huge tower blocks housing 8000 people with an average of 3.3m2 each of living space.
