Numerical simulation on torsional behaviors of precast concrete screw pile body

Abstract

In order to improve the torsional resistance of precast concrete screw pile, the cracking torsion, the ultimate torsion and the torsional deformation of precast concrete pile body were simulated numerically. The torsional behaviors were calculated by using finite element method. And the numerical results were compared with experimental results. In addition, the influence of the five factors including strength levels of concrete, degree of prestress, pitch of spiral hoop, concrete cover and diameter of spiral hoop on the torsional behaviors of precast concrete pile body were researched by numerical orthogonal test. At last, the rational finite element model was concluded for calculating the torsional behaviors of precast concrete pile body, and the rational pile type and design parameters of precast concrete screw pile were found.
