abstract

  • (Abstracted from Gynecol Oncol 2021;161:367–373) The incidence and age-standardized mortality rate of endometrial cancer continue to rise in North America, with a concurrent rise in obesity rate postulated to be the driving factor. Interventions such as weight loss in the postmenopausal period and bariatric surgery have shown significant reduction of risk for endometrial cancer, but these methods remain inaccessible, unsustainable, or unacceptable for some women.
