Climate change impacts on water quality and quantity

As indicated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Fourth Assessment Report: Climate Change 2007, the rapid increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration since the onset of industrial revolution in 18th century has led to warmer global temperatures. Recent observations also indicate an increase in the intensity and frequency of extreme climatic events, which severely affect ecosystems and water resources in many parts of the world.
