Chapter 7 Some extended testing procedures and optimal design of tests

This chapter provides a discussion on some extended testing procedures for start-up demonstration tests. These procedures are motivated by some real life strategies as, for example, the use of corrective actions after the first failure aiming at an improvement on the success probability. Moreover, the critical issue of determining optimal design of tests, under specific criteria, is also discussed.
