Harmonic Analysis of a Triductor — Part 1 Journal Articles

abstract

• The third harmonic present in the voltage or current wave-form of a transformer is utilized for the heating of induction furnaces. The secondary power at 150 cycles is controlled with d.c. magnetization of the transformer core. The circuit used shows a different type of B-H curve. This paper explains how this magnetizing curve gives the variation of secondary voltage by changing d.c. control current.
