AbstractThis entry reviews the development of health geography: the emerging empirical, theoretical, and methodological interests of the subdiscipline since the early 1990s. Although it notes how many of these are academically motivated, it finishes with a review of some of the fundamental geographical changes that have occurred “out there” in the worlds of health and health care that have equally encouraged changes in scholarship.
