  • Azhe-mino-gahbewewin is a research project about local understandings of reconciliation and priorities for action. Through video recorded sharing circles with Anishinaabe, Métis, and settler/non-Indigenous residents, this project seeks to learn more about how residents of the Kenora area (Treaty #3) think about reconciliation, the barriers to reconciliation, (how to build on) past reconciliation initiatives, and the actions needed to improve relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. Particular attention will be paid to the voices of Elders, youth, and persons without stable housing.
