In-beam study of the N=Z nucleus 66 33As33 using the decay tagging technique

Abstract

Several new prompt electromagnetic transitions have been identified in the N=Z nucleus 66As using the Isomer Decay Tagging technique with the Recoil Mass Spectrometer and the Clarion array at ORNL. The observed gamma rays feed a microsecond isomeric state. The strongest cascade observed in this experiment has also been identified in a p-γγγ data set from a Gammasphere experiment. No transitions bypassing the isomer were identified. The lifetimes of the two previously known isomeric states in 66As were remeasured.
