Corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis. Part II: Prevention and treatment
Abstract
Corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis is a serious disorder that results in significant morbidity. In Part I, the pathophysiology, clinical features, and biochemical, radiologic and bone density assessment were discussed. In Part II, clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of corticosteroid- induced osteoporosis are reviewed.
