Fatality Due to Subclavian Dialysis Catheter

Abstract

A patient is described who died as a result of using a subclavian dialysis catheter. At post mortem a perforation of the superior vena cava leading to hemopericardium as well as a large thrombus in a brachiocephalic vein were found.
