Cystic Echinococcosis: Late Rupture and Complication of a Stable Pulmonary Cyst

Abstract

Cystic echinococcosis is observed worldwide. Traditional management includes an invasive surgical approach with adjunctive chemotherapy. It has been suggested that observation alone may be appropriate in asymptomatic individuals with stable cysts.
