Carpal Tunnel Syndrome—Surgical Management

Abstract

This chapter on carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) approaches four key questions related to diagnosis and treatment. A critical appraisal of the role of electrodiagnostic and imaging studies is undertaken, while conservative and surgical therapeutic options are compared in terms of indications and outcomes. Finally, various surgical options are reviewed, including techniques, complications, and prognosis.
