The geography of the national health: an essay in welfare geography ( UK).
Abstract
Both health and health services are unevenly distributed in the United Kingdom. Disease and health care systems are the product of the wider social and cultural context. The book explores the relationship between health, work, poverty, housing, class and culture. It examines how resource allocation and social policies are determined by the social and cultural context, by conceptions of need and justice and by the power relations between groups. - R.Haynes
