Magnetic depth estimates using the continuous wavelet transform

The continuous wavelet transform has been proposed recently tor the interpretation of potential field anomalies. This technique allows the estimation of the depth of burial of homogeneous field sources as well as information on the nature of the source in the form of a structural index. From the established theory of wavelet transform, we propose an alternate approach to the estimation of depth and structural index. This approach improves the application of the continuous wavelet transform to the interpretation of mullipole anomalies.
