G7 Project Promoting Heart Health

Abstract

In cardiovascular disease (CVD), as in other chronic and acute diseases, one important challenge is to integrate lessons learned from previous intervention experiences, to improve future primary, secondary and tertiary prevention interventions. The purpose of the G7 Project Promoting Heart Health is to establish, maintain, and evaluate a telematics database for the timely dissemination through the INTERNET, of knowledge and experience gained from the implementation of heart health interventions in a wide variety of contexts and settings across G7 countries. Others who wish to implement similar interventions in different contexts and settings can therefore build upon successes and failures from previous implementation experiences.
