Summer water chemistry in two subarctic watersheds ( Lac Lejeune, Lac Dian).

Abstract

Concentrations of Ca, Mg, HCO3 -1 and SiO2 (the major ions) in inflows to, outflows from and the waters of Lac LeJeune and Lac Dian remain constant throughout the summer. Although both watersheds are geologically similar, Lac Dian is fed by surface stream networks and Lac LeJeune by groundwater seepages near its shore.-from Author
