Distribution and localization of gold in Meguma Group rocks, Nova Scotia. Part 1: structural effects and pressure solution - preliminary results.

Abstract

Quartz veins, some of which are gold-bearing, in Meguma greywackes were formed by precipitation of quartz removed from cleavage zones by pressure solution. The gold may have been mobilized and deposited by a similar mechanism. Rock chemical analyses are tabulated. (Following abstract)-T.F.
