USE OF COMPUTER EXECUTIVE PROGRAMS IN DESIGN COURSES. A 1984 SURVEY.
Abstract
The Design course is often considered to be the capstone course in Chemical Engineering programs. One element is the role computer executive programs might or should play in the design courses. (These computer programs are also called 'simulators' or 'driver' programs). Since the early 1960's, a host of computer executive programs have been developed or have been made available to universities. The focus of this survey is the use of computer executive programs in design courses. Thus, part surveys from two different viewpoints are pertinent.
