MOdel Analysis of Mechanical Properties of a Polymer-Impregnated Concrete.
Abstract
Using the theory of composite materials, the bounds for elastic moduli are determined and their dependence on porosity and both polymer and concrete properties are discussed. The limit strength is analyzed by considering a model of a porous plastic material with pores partially filled by other material. It is shown that the strength of polymer and the effective porosity substantially affect the strength of the composite.
