The structure of shear-induced countercurrent flow.

Abstract

This paper is concerned with the fluid mechanics of wind driven water currents occurring in otherwise quiescent lakes and small ocean bays. Experiments are described on a novel air model of these flows and results are compared with analytical predictions and previous laboratory findings by other workers in the field. (A)
