Studies in azide chemistry. Part IV. Synthesis of perhalogeno-β-iodoalkyl azides

Abstract

2-Chloro-1,1,2-trifluoro-2-iodoethyl and hexafluoro-2-iodopropyl azide have been prepared by treating chlorotrifluoroethylene and perfluoropropene, respectively, with iodine azide.
