Trifluoroxenon( IV )µ-fluoro-bispentafluoroantimonate( V ): the XeF 3 + cation

The Raman spectrum of the complex XF4, 2SbF5 is consistent with the ionic formulation XeF3+,Sb2F11–, and the 19F n.m.r. spectrum of the complex in solution in antimony pentafluoride has an AB2 spectrum in the F-on-Xe region which may be unambiguously assigned to the XeF3+ ion.
