Miscibility of phenoxy polymer/poly(methyl acrylate-co-methyl methacrylate) blends

Abstract

A series of poly(methyl acrylate-co-methyl methacrylate)s were synthesized, and their miscibility with phenoxy was studied by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) measurements. The DSC results show that copolymers were miscible with phenoxy when the weight content of MMA was higher than 70%. The FTIR spectra indicate that strong hydrogen-bond interaction exists in the miscible copolymer/phenoxy blends while only weak interaction in the immiscible blends is observed.
