Supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children: Clinical and radiographic diagnosis

Abstract

Because of the high risk of neurovascular complications, pediatric supracondylar fractures justify extra suspicion and vigilance on the part of the health care professional. A simple approach to elbow anatomy, clinical examination, and plain radiography helps identify the presence of a supracondylar fracture.
