Immunomodulatory agents for the treatment of cachexia
Abstract
PURPOSE OF REVIEW: In patients with advanced cancer, AIDS and end-stage organ diseases, symptoms of cachexia syndrome include decrease in appetite, weight loss, decreased performance status, and an increase in the systemic inflammatory response.
