abstract

• AbstractIt is shown that a monotonically decreasing translational kinetic energy distribution predicted from the quasi‐equilibrium theory for the unimolecular fragmentation ([CH2CO]+˙→[CH2]+˙ +CO) is reflected in an exponential shape for the metastable peak in contrast to the commonly observed Gaussian type profile.
