Tailoring Cellulose Nanocrystal and Surfactant Behavior in Miniemulsion Polymerization

Abstract

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) combined with surfactants were used to stabilize miniemulsion polymerization reactions. Anionic CNCs with H+ and Na+ counterions and cationic-modified CNCs were investigated with anionic and cationic surfactants.
