A Continuous Toroidal Winding SRM With 6- or 12-Switch DC Converter
Abstract
A new toroidally wound switched reluctance machine (TSRM) with a single continuous multitapped winding is presented. This machine may be driven by a 6-switch asymmetric converter that supplies unipolar coil currents or by a 12-switch voltage source converter that supplies bipolar coil currents.
