Was the 5th International Public Health Palliative Care Conference 2017 Canada’s tipping point? —a meeting report

Abstract

Canadians are living longer than they ever have before, but not necessarily better. It is projected that 3.3 million Canadians will be aged 80 or older by 2036. Yet only 13% have an advanced care plan prepared (1) which means too few Canadians are actively discussing end of life.
